I've become an indie Apple vibe-coder
I am a web dev. With the rise of generative AI, I've been exploring my interests a bit more and decided to solve some of my own problems via devices I already own and kinda like too.
I like Apple ecosystem. I also hate it. But I like it more than I hate it which is why I am not using Android. It helps me stay productive and I like it’s feel. I like the way devices work together. The biggest advantage I’ve experienced recently is having apps on my Watch that help me capture data on the go related to my self-awareness. This data includes: habits, daily mood, expenses, mindful minutes.
However, my personal workflow has become fragmented and I’ve decided to reduce that complexity. Instead of interacting with 3 separate apps from independent developers, I will be working with 2 that I made myself. One app automates habit tracking which reduces complexity even further. The features are going to be completementary. Stay tuned for updates. I am going to be covering them on my free with tech YouTube channel.
This is a short blog post. I just felt I wanted to post this. I also posted some random tweets (1, 2) about todays progress. It feels good to vibe-code an app from React Native to Swift in 2 days and solve problems in ones life. Tomorrow and onwards, I am going to bullet-proof the functions to consider more edge cases. The plan is to create a landing and promote axis by the end of the month. Let’s see how that goes.
Got thoughts?
I'd love to hear what you think. Agree, disagree, or somewhere in between.
Shoot me an email. I read and reply to all of them.
